چکیده
With more renewables integrated into power grids, the systems are being transformed low inertia electronic dominated systems. In this situation, virtual synchronous generator (VSG) control strategy was proposed to deal with insufficient challenge caused by reduction of generation. However, as VSG method emulates dynamic behavior traditional machines, interaction between multiple controllers and generators (SGs) may cause low-frequency oscillation similar that SGs. This paper reveals system oscillatory modes affected VSGs. This paper proposes the virtual flux based direct power control for Vienna rectifier. No need for the input voltage sensors, the current regulation loop and PWM voltage modulation block along with the active and reactive power decoupling are some of the salient advantages of this method that make it suitable for controlling the conventional active rectifiers. However, due to the three-level nat...
متن کاملMultiple model nonlinear control of synchronous generators
Research has shown that conventional adaptive control and more sophisticated nonlinear approaches can suffer from a lack of robustness and transparency. In this paper, a multiple model technique is proposed that effectively incorporates established linear control methods within an inherently nonlinear framework. The resulting local model network (LMN) was found to describe the nonlinear dynamic...
متن کاملDesign Supplementary Controller Based on Stabilizing Effect of Delay for Damping Inter Area Oscillations in a Power System
The delay associated with signal transmission through the wide-area measurement system reduces the functionality of the power oscillation damping control system. One of the important issues is the poor operation of the supplementary controller against delay existence, which limits the efficiency of damping of ancillary equipment, such as SVCs in a power system. This paper as a solution proposes...
